Frequently Asked Questions About Membership

Why Join The First Tee of Central Arkansas?

If you've never been exposed to the game of golf and its positive values, you have to come out and experience The First Tee of Central Arkansas!  It's why we're here - to introduce affordable and accessible golf to the youth of Central Arkansas, who otherwise would not have an opportunity to learn and enjoy the game.  Not only do children learn how to play the game of golf, they learn how to succeed in the game of life by learning life's nine core values: responsibility, sportsmanship, perseverance, confidence, judgment, honesty, respect, courtesy and integrity. No experience necessary.

If you're an avid junior golfer, membership at The First Tee of Central Arkansas just makes sense!  Where else can you play top-quality, 9-hole golf and practice on our range at a great price?  Not to mention the opportunity to involve your parents by participating in our family events and play days.

Who's Eligible to Participate in The First Tee of Central Arkansas?

Children ages 17 and under are eligible for membership with The First Tee of Central Arkansas.

What's Needed to Participate?  Fees?  Equipment?

For an annual fee of $125, children may become a member of The First Tee of Central Arkansas.  Child memberships include unlimited golf and range practice as well as free enrollment in our Life Skills Program.  The parent and child must attend New-Member Orientation before becoming an active participant in the program.  New member orientation is held every Saturday at 9:00 a.m.  Advanced registration for orientation sessions is not required.  No equipment is needed.  Children will be issued a membership card and yardage book upon joining the program.  Both items are required every week for class.  The membership card is required to receive the member prices on golf and practice balls.

When are Classes, Lessons?

Classes are held weekly, and are divided by both age and level.  We have a Little Linksters class for children ages 3-4.  Children ages 5-6 begin in TARGET.  Children ages 7-17 begin at the PLAYer Level.  Please check the 2010 Class Schedule for class days and times.

Individual lessons are also available to members for an additonal fee (see Individual Golf Instruction).  Parents and members interested in additional lessons may contact any member of the golf staff.

Can my Mom and Dad play?

Yes!  We encourage adults to play with their kids.  We will host Saturday play days and fun family events throughout the summer.  It is also important to remember that our facilities are open to the general public at a daily rate.  We also offer Adult and Family Memberships
